BOSS Marketing Services creates, maintains, and may host websites on behalf of business clients.

Personal information collected through a client’s website, including customer inquiries, form submissions, orders, or account records, may be processed by BOSS to provide agreed technical and marketing services.

The business client remains responsible for determining the lawful purposes for collecting and using its customers’ information and for maintaining an appropriate privacy policy for its own website.

BOSS will handle client-controlled personal information in accordance with applicable agreements, authorized instructions, and legal requirements.

Ownership of custom website design, development work, and related intellectual property is addressed separately in our Terms of Service. That ownership does not give BOSS unrestricted rights to use or disclose personal information belonging to a client’s customers.

Our commercial electronic communications will follow applicable requirements under Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

You may withdraw consent to receive promotional messages by using an available unsubscribe method or by contacting us directly.

Unsubscribing from promotional communications will not necessarily prevent essential messages regarding active services, invoices, security, or existing contractual obligations.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle.

These may include access controls, account security practices, restricted information access, and appropriate technical safeguards.

Although we take information security seriously, no website, network, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

If a privacy or security incident occurs, we will assess it and take appropriate steps, including providing notifications where required by law.

9. Information Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, provide services, satisfy contractual commitments, maintain required business records, resolve disputes, or comply with legal requirements.

Once information is no longer required, we will securely delete, destroy, or anonymize it as appropriate, subject to legal and operational limitations.

Backup copies may remain for a limited period as part of normal security and disaster recovery procedures.

10. Information Processed Outside Canada

Some technology providers or service partners may store or process information outside New Brunswick or Canada.

When information is processed in another jurisdiction, it may be subject to that jurisdiction’s laws and lawful access requirements.
